![]() We are saddened to hear that you did not enjoy A Fireside Christmas. We were all family and adult people- no kids or teens.ĭear Verydisappointed_13, Thank you very much for taking the time to review your most recent Fireside experience. The choices supplied did not fit our group. Later in this review it asks who was with us. I can hardly wait for the next time we all go. Their voices were the best and the whole thing riveled the movie. The actors and actresses were well-chosen for the parts they played. The music and singing were spectacular! It was two and a half hours which flew by. I sat in the front row with my husband and sister. The others loved their entrees and by the time we came to dessert, we were so full that we had them box it up and we took it home. My meat was so tender, I could cut it with a fork. The mushroom soup (I cannot remember its name) was the best I have ever had. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, answering any questions we had about what was what on the menu. We had a table for six and had an excellent view of the dining room. I didn't have the mobility and time to visit them this time, but in the past, I have purchased clip earrings, sequined Christmas ties, sweat shirt, vase for holding flowers, ornaments, and other items. There is a fireplace, a bakery where their special breads are sold, and several shops. It is warm and cozy, but seems to extend forever. She waited patiently and did not leave me alone until the rest of our party caught up to me. When we arrived, our tickets were at the "Will Call" booth and a requested wheel chair was quickly provided along with a young lady to push me to wherever I wanted to go. We have been to The Fireside Dinner Theater before, but this was the best one of all. No other Transformer showed they could do this, and he only used it for a con. The Autobots had at some point begun using a new insignia that resembled Optimus Prime rather than the Last Autobot. Still Life! Dreadwind and Darkwing were outside in Cybertron's increasingly bad weather discussing the planet's upcoming self-destruction when the wind blew the gigantic Autobot insignia off the wall and onto Dreadwind's head. Surrender! After the Autobots and Decepticons came together to fight Unicron, they continued their uneasy alliance and adorned their headquarters with an insignia that included a slightly modified Decepticon sign atop a slightly modified Autobot sign. When Optimus Prime surrendered to the Decepticons, he laid an Autobot insignia at Scorponok's feet. United into a single team following the events of the Time Wars and by battling the nightmare creatures generated by Skids's time in Limbo, Springer offered to make Carnivac and Catilla Honorary Autobots, passing them a pair of Autobot badges as he did so. The implementation of these redesigns is inconsistent, as while the redesigned insignia are typically used by movie tie-ins with everything else using the classic designs, "mix-ups" of the symbols frequently happen infamously, Bumblebee, the breakout character of the movie franchise, wears the classic version of the Autobot insignia on his forehead crest.įiction Generation 1 cartoon continuity The Transformers cartoon Over the next decade or so, new symbols were designed for various new factions and subgroups, with a wide variety of stylistic influences.įor the 2007 live action Transformers movie, the famous Autobot and Decepticon insignia were given a redesign, with the most obvious changes being the eyes - the tops of the Autobot symbol's eyes were slanted slightly down, and the Decepticon symbol's eyes were shrunk and changed from triangles to diamonds. When the Transformers brand was reimagined in the mid-1990s as Beast Wars, entirely new insignia were created for the new heroic and villainous factions, the Maximals and Predacons, though these were not based on any specific toy or design rather, they reflected the mammalian and insectoid memberships of these factions. Though replacements for the Autobot and Decepticon insignia were introduced for Transformers: Generation 2, with the G2 Autobot symbol being based on the face of Optimus Prime, they failed to catch on. In 2007, the Autobot and Decepticon insignia were redesigned to fit the tone of the new movie. This version of the insignia remained otherwise unused for decades, but eventually saw a return as part of the Masterpiece toyline's move towards ever-more-painstaking animation accuracy, starting with MP-29 Destron Laserwave. ![]() This resulted in an odd curiosity of the original cartoon's designs as the designers were evidently working off these renderings rather than a flat image, the beveled detail at the top of the Decepticon symbol's crest was misinterpreted as a third spike on said crest, resulting in a disparity between the cartoon insignia and other appearances of the Decepticon badge. Unfortunately, sales were an abysmal 14,163 in total for 1960. Fuel-injected engines were gone and the 283-cid V8 was tuned-down for fuel economy, dropping the rating down to 170 bhp. There seat was made of cloth with vinyl facings, and the trim shade options were grey, green and blue. In 1960 a more conservative design came out. In fact, there were only 21,706 Rancheros made in 1957. In 1959 only 22,246 El Caminos were produced, but that was still more than the Ford Ranchero which sold around 14,000 units that year. It had a payload rating ranging from 650 to 1150 pounds and gross weights from 4400 to 4900pounds.Īs for performance, the engines offered were a 283-cid Turbo Jet V8 with 2-barrel or 4-barrel carburetion, Turbo-Thrust 348-cid V8s with 4-barrel or triple 2-barrel carburetors producing 335 bhp and 250 and 290 bhp 283 cube Ramjet Fuel Injection V8s. Chevy would describe the El Camino as “more than a car, more than a truck” and it was promoted as the first Chevrolet pickup built with a steel bed floor, which was corrugated sheet metal. The chassis was Chevrolet’s “Safety-Girder” X-frame design which was introduced in 1958. During 1959, Chevrolet introduced the bat-wing Chevys and the El Camino was available with any of the trim and drivetrain options that the other cars had. When the El Camino production began in 1959, the Ford Ranchero had already been in production for two years. Chevrolet would respond to this competition with the 1959 El Camino. In 1957 Ford introduced the Ford Ranchero. During this time GMC had the Suburban Carrier with all the same features. Later, from 1937 to 1939, Studebaker manufactured the Coupe’ Express.Ĭhevrolet introduced the Cameo Carrier pickup truck in 1955, and while it was a type of light-duty pickup like the Chevrolet Task Force, it had fiberglass rear fenders, a great interior, slick two-tone paint and a V8 engine and automatic transmission. In 1935 the Australian subsidiary of General Motors’, Holden, came out with a Chevrolet coupe utility as well. While the body style of the El Camino didn’t make its debut on the North American market until 1957 with the Ford Ranchero, the first company to actually build a coupe utility was Ford Australia back in 1934. The El Camino had the body of an Impala with the Sedan pickup-truck back end and was one of the most iconic muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s. I practiced on my kids' Lowrider bicycles until I felt comfortable enough to try it on my own car.Known as the “business in the front, party in the back” vehicle to some, the classic Chevrolet El Camino combined both style and functionality in one vehicle. "The El Camino was just sitting on side of the street and my co-worker and I would always say, 'That's my dream car.' One day it had a 'for sale' sign on it, so I took down the number." Ruben called the owner about purchasing the project car, made the deal, and took the car home. "I found my '59 El Camino many years ago, as I would pass by it many times on my daily work route," explains Ruben. If you're looking for a cheap office chair that looks good, this is definitely a model to consider. ![]() And, when I was ready to head home for the day, the chair's arms fold up, so that I could tuck it under my desk more easily. Still, I found it pretty comfortable when sitting for long periods of time. However, as with most budget office chairs, the Flash Furniture model isn't very adjustable - you can raise and lower the seat and adjust the tilt tension, but that's it. The price of this chair varies based on the color you choose as well as the style - you can opt for a mid-back, high back, and drafting chair - but ranges from around $120 to $210, making it a very affordable model if you're on a budget. One reason I liked the Flash Furniture Mid-Back office chair is that, in a sea of black and gray office chairs, it stood out with its bold blue and white color scheme (it's also available in gray, yellow, red, orange, white, and yes, black). Read our full Herman Miller Aeron chair review. You're bound to find an Aeron for a lot less used. My advice is to look for sales of office furniture as companies clear out their buildings of unwanted items. It's perhaps no surprise that all of this comes at a price, as the Aeron starts at more than $1,000. However, this came with a little tradeoff, as I didn't think the Aeron offered as much support as the Steelcase Leap, which has a firmer fabric bottom and back.Ĭheck out our comparison of the Herman Miller Embody vs Aeron if you've having a hard time deciding which is best for you. The mesh bottom and back of the Aeron also allowed for plenty of airflow, which was welcome on warm days when my air conditioning wasn't working as well as it should have. It also supports working in two profiles: one for when you are leaning forward and another for when you are leaning back and reclining. I could adjust everything on this top-tier chair, including more esoteric things, like the tension of eight zones of the fabric (including the important lumbar support) and the tilt and angle of the armrests. The Herman Miller Aeron chair may be the symbol of dot-com excess, but there's a good reason for that: It is damn comfortable. This level of comfort and engineering doesn't come cheap though but Steelcase does back up the Karman with a 12-year warranty. The Steelcase Karman may lack a dedicated lumbar support but in my own testing, I found I didn't need one due to how the chair responded to my body's movements throughout the day. Under the chair's seat, there's a weight-activated mechanism that when combined with Intermix, literally wraps around your body and supports you no matter which angle you're sitting at. The Steelcase Karman is also exceptionally light at just 29 pounds and unlike every office chair on this list, it comes fully assembled. This office chair is available in a number of different colors and even color combinations since it's created using a weaving process where yarns and other filaments are injected into the weave. The Steelcase Karman goes beyond a traditional mesh office chair thanks to the company's proprietary Intermix textile.
